Cascadia Law Group welcomes Meghan E. Gavin

Cascadia Law Group is delighted to welcome Meghan E. Gavin as an associate in our Seattle office.

Meghan joins us from the chambers of the Honorable Ronald B. Leighton, District Judge for the Western District of Washington, where she served as a two-year term law clerk. She worked on a variety of civil and criminal cases involving federal and state law, many of which national and local press followed closely.

Jay Manning appointed Trustee of Eastern Washington University

We are happy to announce Jay Manning’s appointment to the Board of Trustees at Eastern Washington University. Gov. Inslee made the appointment effective November 20, 2015. The Board of Trustees is the highest policymaking body for the University, working closely with the University President, the administration, the faculty, and students on fiscal, policy and management issues.

Jay Manning Debrief from Paris: COP-21 UN Climate Talks

I was privileged to attend the COP-21 meeting in Paris, where 196 countries from around the world worked to negotiate a new agreement to reduce international emissions of greenhouse gases and limit global warming. I was there supporting the Pacific Coast Collaborative (PCC), whose members are the states of Washington, Oregon, and California, and the Province of British Columbia.
